Hey guys, this may be a silly question but i haven't found anything about it yet. On my 83 aspy there is a toggle switch in the left side of the wiring box that is behind the weight bolted to the triple tree. When i flip the switch down, my trip odometer and fuel gauge disappear from the digital dash, flip it up and goes back to normal. Anyone know what this is for? :headscratch:

Possibly a disconnect to conserve the battery for long storage? Maybe a PO thought the light too bright for night rides?

Whatever it is it's definitely not stock.

The digital dash parts are too rare to take a chance hurting them.
I would trace the wiring back and put it back to how it was originally.

We have the wiring diagram in the Gallery for reference.

Definitely sounds like it is a winter storage switch installed by a PO to save battery drain during the non use period.... not a factory setup... Dan has a point.. digital dashes are expensive when you need to replace one.. if you can find a good used one...
