The 1'2" Harbor Freight is really surprisingly accurate, compared the H F to a Snap On torqued, C V job on the wife's car. :eek:k: Dead on the money, on every torque when checked, was pleasantly surprised. :smilie_happy:

ok wes ....be looking for for some other reason this is happening ..something dont sound right here ....hmmmm ...can you post a pic of problem

I'm with Joe on this one. That doesn't sound right at all...a pic is worth a lot here. My dad has a 99 valk interstate. I could compare yours to his. Maybe sort it pretty easily.

Yes I bought a service manual. It says nothing about how to correct it. Just make sure clearance is .007
I did find a valk forum who are as friendly and have good info as this great forum is.

Well I found out there is a line on the axle that is to align up with the speedo box. Not noted in service manual.(I could not find it.)

I will probably spend some time at that site.

BUT I will be back after I sell this valk and get me an 82 wing just up the road from me.

Thank You all for all the help you have given me for the 1100. I would have never thought I could put an alternator on a bike. Thanks to all of you I did.
