Have you looked at the "rubber ducky" style car antennas? You.can get a complete set-up and just drill the hole you need. Ruin a ground white to the chassis, and should work just fine. Maybe like this one at jcwhitney? ....tuna":3e7tnvyf said:Mine is a clone except there is not a spot for the antenna.

This is where I'm starting out from. I like the old look.
Where did you find that one at?

If it helps, I made this out of mine last year, decided I needed sounds working on it rather than riding it, the new speakers cost about $40, 100w, neoprene cone gaskets and magnets almost as big as the speakers, I can turn this thing way up with no distortion at all.
The speakers I used are Infinity speakers with a Sony Marine AM/FM/CD iPod unit. I have had them in for over 5 years and yes I can clearly hear (with a face shield down) at 82 MPH and have driven through numerous rain storms without any issues!":1qgk5xw4]
So could we get the name/model of the heavy duty 4" speakers that you recommend. Can you here them at 70 mph without distortion?
(I've ridden with him......he is right! :hihihi: )":1ctgec2l]
On the 1100 I just have a pair of $40 speakers that I got at the local Wally World and the only time I lose the sound is above 85 mph... The problem though is that the people riding with me claim they can't hear there stereo over mine.
