Walking dead..any finality to this show?

I know it has been on for years but I don't have cable and the first series just came on air TV. Question is does it ever end?
I know they kill lots of zombies and fight among themselves with a little love thrown in ,They lose some people and gain some people but is this all that it is about?
Getting a little tired of watching and waiting for something different to happen, something better comes on maybe I`ll watch it instead.

I watched some of it, thought it was pretty dumb.
My 12 year old girl likes it. Why I don't know.

I had a feeling it was geared to the young mind, must be why i`m confused about it going somewhere.

the show can be very predictable. like you Z I watch it on broadcast tv, no cable here

I feel it deals with humanity and what we are made of. I've enjoyed the first 4 seasons but haven't watched any of season 5 yet.

Like all television shows some will like it some won't and it's not meant to change your life.

+1 but we had full season copies so you could watch a few episodes at a time which made it easier to follow.
