Wanted 83 fork brace and 2 bolts

Looking for front fork brace and 2 bolts for it 8 x 17 for 83 gl1100
Mine is cracked on one side.

I see 'em on Ebay all the time. Of course if you're actually needing one it probably won't be there...

I just looked, and there are lots of 'em! Some cheap, some not so cheap.

I font see a crack in the pic.
Are you sure it's cracked and not some casting line?

Yes it is cracked on the left side all the way through. More prevalent on the back.
I did see them on e-bay just thought I would send money to a forum member if I could.

Speaking of fork braces, is there some sort of kit or mod to stiffen and tie up the forks on the Rats Nest (81)?

This is a three piece brace for the front forks on the 11 .. they are available for order.. but not in the cheap side... my busted when I removed the front wheel. Had a weak front spring and the torque popped it.. I wasn't riding at the time... which was nice but replaced both fronts... still have the old ones.. haven't decided to try and rebuild this set yet..

I saw one from (gasp! ) sabre cycle for $119 ..

Looked on eBay and most of those look like just the cross bar no fork mounts included.. the brace on mine had fork mounts that were 2 piece and the cross brace.. also saw one at super brace.. but $199..

Yeah but don't think that is everything needed to mount a brave on a bike that didn't have the brave previously added.. I am sure Wilcoy will let us know when it arrives.. right Wilcoy?

The pic on first post is all my bike has ever had. Used to have an ornamentel brace on the front fender until it wrapped itself around my wheel.

Sorry brave is a swypo (Swype on phone) for brace... Okay the 83 forks are like the 12's and built into the fork large tube.. my 81 was total of 5 pieces.. two each for the forks and the center bridge

Looks real similar to it.. not sure it was on the bike when I bought it in February of 09... so not sure and I removed it tried to have friend weld it, or what ever and it was no go... and 4 years have gone by now
