Great stuff Joel :good:
Love my steel roofs ( Colourbond) except when you are trying to watch TV in the pouring rain. We collect our rain water and steel is a lot more efficient than cement/ terracotta roofing tiles as they absorb about 30% of their weight in water when it starts raining. I like the idea if a tree branch goes through the roof then I can repair it with a new sheet or patch relatively easily as well.

there are some big pluses to metal and some discounts ...but in general if roof is striped and metal put on top of that ists a huge energy saver if it done where the roof vents basiclly on all edges and ridge ..keeps a lot of heat from going into house itself ...making it way easier to cool or heat

FINALLY! :Awe: New roof is going on today. They showed up this mernin and started ripping it off. I had to warn them about getting too many people up there at once for fear of the dern thing collapsing. They got it aboot 1/2 stripped before I had to leave for werk, and Mama just called and said it was nekkid...nuttin but rafters. All the materials were delivered before I left. Feller said they were gunna try to finish it in one day, but it might take two, since there were other repairs to be done. Of course, this has been the wettest August here in 20 years, and nachurly, there's been rain every friggin day this week, so far.
Sure hope they do get it all done today....my neighbor is gunna freak when she wakes up and finds my 4 cars in her driveway..... :smilie_happy:
