I seasonally shifted my attention from my bikes to my cage, been a frequent poster on a Chevy Equinox forum, man I can say this, they sure are a stick in the mud mentality! I proposed key mods from lighting to even something to extend the engines longevity on the latest GM Direct Injection engines and they immediately go all archaic, afraid to "change" the vehicle lest the GM advisers on the board catch wind and come knocking on their doors at night with billy clubs.
Seriously living in Alaska has me limited on my bikes. Hardly any Craigslist ads for anything decent. Just accumulating cash when I'm not buying LEDs or HID kits for the Equinox. But I am addressing getting my mods done on the 95 Aspy. Maybe if I am lucky around late april the snows will melt off and I can get back on the road, had to put the brakes on my southern trip as I am now trying to build my own shop instead of just renting one, and it has to be big, at least 24x48 with a 12' ceiling, maybe at least 14' so I can bring an RV or truck in.
I have to admit the Goldwing forums are pretty nice, nobody gets all uptight if you chop half the bike, and a leafblower to the intake for a poor mans supercharger, ride on car tires or forklift tires, or to just be absolutely free to do whatever you feel like. And thats what its like at a cager forum, these latest SUVs are so high tech you cannot change anything or you void a warranty or get a nasty letter in the mail, they monitor your vehicle in ways you can only imagine.
Be very proud all of you that dismiss the sirens call of being a cager, I live partially in that world, my eye is actually on either getting a Cadillac SRX or a Corvette Stingray. Ironically that 2012 AWD 2.4 DI LT1 Equinox I bought a couple weeks ago was cheaper than buying a new Goldwing.
