I believe that it is a standard 83 Gl1100 but you could check the vin number to be sure.

there were three gl 1100's made, the standard 1100, the interstate, and aspencade. the interstate and aspencade are dressed from the factory, standards ( like yours ) or nekked wings as most of us call them wings came just as yours is. it could be possable that someone strippen an interstate to make a nekked wing though

wheels look to be 83 ...only yr of cast wheels ....the fslse tank is one from a interstate or aspy ...and sspy would have compressor in false tank for air hocks .... but mostly its a creation of someone personal reflection of an oldwing and its just sweet ....and better than ever before as it is now

V.I.N. = S for Standard, I for Interstate, A for Aspencade.

Brought to you by the letter H :yes:NDA

if your bike is an 83 (will say on the drivers side of the triple tree)
Standard is a GL1100-D
Interstate is a GL1100I-D
Aspencade is a GL1100A-D

the 82 model is a "C" the 81 is a "B" and the 80 is an "A"

is that what you were asking?

all it says next to the large print of the year is GL 1100

The VIN is the give,but the tank stripes are also a tell.The INTERSTATEs and ASPYs stripes stop short to line up with the fairing.Where yours,STANDARD, run all the way forward.

Mine starts with an S and its all dressed up. Could dealer have done it? I also have all parts to go nakked wing.
