whos good at 83 GL1100's?

so this is my first honda, and to be honest...i know almost nothing about it, and im needing some help with it, even some really stupid things like how many gallons of gas does it hold?

id love to learn every thing i can about this bike.

Check out the Gallery Tech References and Quick Specs at the top of the threads. There are manuals and lots of good info there. The fuel tank holds 5.3 gallons, 1.1 of it is reserve.

I believe you need 5 posts in order to access the tech sections...

Be sure to keep your mouth closed while riding. Perma-grin and bugs do not go together too well.

heh, yeah...that one i know. but swallowing a bug or two isnt to bad for ya....just more protein

run atf in gas ...be leary always about gas leaking in oil ...atf keeps peace of mind ....weak spark is always an issue ....redoing plugs ends helps bigtime ....83 nice bike ride and have fun ...its low center of gravity makes it a pleasure to ride ...its not a sport bike but can run like one don't push it in the corners to much clearance boundries are tight ...but that has the pluses of being rather nimble at all other times ...ride and have fun
