My wife loves to ride and so we take many Saturday or Sunday short rides mainly to go have breakfast or lunch. For us the nearest place for a decent meal means at least a forty mile ride one way. She is a great passenger but sometimes her tastes really get to me.

She decided it was time for a new helmet, went to our local cycle gear on her own and came home with a full face helmet. Only one problem, this thing is bright pink, not only is it pink it has bright pink flowers and designs. I mean you can see this helmet a mile away. It just doesn't go with the bike, or our riding gear. Am I being too picky? One thing for sure, she doesn't need to worry about me borrowing it. :headscratch:

I bought my wife a pink helmet which she likes but she still won't get on the cBR with me yet. If your wife is happy with the fit I don't think the color should bother you. I am also a firm believer in a full face helmet as I feel if you are going to wear a helmet it should give you as much protection as possible. I will continue to wear white helmets in the future as I Believe that they are more visible or at least seem to slow down the cage drivers from pulling out in front me.

This one?

I agree...if she's happy, and it fits...let it ride....

Agreed.
Just roll your eyes when someone points

You guys are right, I'm too picky. The only helmets we will wear are full face. Mine is modular though. AApple, no it isn't that one, but close to it.
As for the upcoming paint job, we are looking at a burnt orange, various blues. It WILL NOT match her helmet.

I don't know, I think if you matched her helmet color it could be an anti theft device :smilie_happy:

You could act surprised and tell people you're color blind and she picked the color of the bike. :whistling:

I must say, interesting responses. My wife looks over my shoulder and also reads the forum at times so needless to say I started this thread for her as well. She does appreciate your positive comments, and so do I. Thanks for all the responses from everyone.

I think the helmet she chose is AWESOME!

The helmet can be a very personal thing and make a statement.
Good for her getting what she wanted!
