I gotta get my eyeholes checked....when I first read the question, I thought it said "can you use a 6 cylinder head on a 4 ".....DOH
I have no clue on the 1200 anyway, so....

Have you looked to see if the part numbers are the same or similar? Since '84 was a strange duck in many ways, I'd bet it won't. But I'm just a guessing......
