Dammit...
Take the car out for test drive, ready to roll up an entrance ramp for the freeway(in left lane), and some douchbag on his phone tries to pull out of a parking lot(from my right), cross over 4 lanes of roadway, and get in between myself and the car in front of me. Needless to say, since the cars in my lane were traveling around 50mph, and Mr. ********* was not....he dint make it...at least not cleanly. I seen the *******, and just KNEW he was gunna pull out and try it, cause they always do in that particular spot. I was semi-ready, and as soon as he started, and I saw he wuz gunna try to pull all the way across, I started layin on the horn....apparently he don't care...keeps comin. Just barely gets in front of me, and I've got the ABS on the car working overtime, still on the horn, and tryin to steer to the left to keep from slammin into the **********. Had he not STOPPED in the middle of the ****** road, I wudda missed hittin him....but he did, and I did...at about 40 mph.
Slammed into his left rear corner with the right front corner of the car I'm in. He gets out of his car and looks like..."Uh...why yo blowin yo horn at me?"...like nothin even happened. ********* *******. He wants to give me his phone # and keep on goin. I ain't fallin fer that ****. I called the shop manager and he comes up there and takes a ton of pics, and gets the ****'s info, then sends him packin. Customer's cars is pretty messed up, but still driveable....and we've still gotta figure out his trans problem.
So...how's YOUR day goin? :head bang:

That really sucks, sounds like he`s at fault for not yielding to traffic, you should not be to blame, he had about as much sense as a deer I just watched.

Joel, **** happens. Randy, sometimes it doesn't! Sorry for both of your problems!

Glad you're OK, and weren't at fault, Joel! When I was working at a JCPenney Auto Center, I pulled the wrong lever on the lifts. There was a car in the next bay, but not straight or centered on the lift. I'm watching the one that I thought was supposed to rise, wondering why it wasn't, when...CRUNCH! The other lift was halfway up, and the car was on its side. The expressions on the other guys' faces almost made it worth it. No serious damage, but the side of the car was as wavy as the ocean on a breezy day.

12 hours in a hot plant with high humidity. Wasn't any more fun than your day. Too bad your customer wasn't owner of a Sherman tank. The rocket scientist might have learned something.

I had a close call similar with a rubbernecker, twice yesterday. The way some drive is like they have zero respect for the other guy and where YOU are going cannot be more important than where THEY are going.
