Interesting about the word "assault" used in reference to a rifle.
NRA spokesperson mentioned in an interview on the radio that "assault" is an emotional word being used in reference to a rifle, not the rifle itself. Given that, ANY rifle or hand gun for that matter could be considered an " assault" weapon, even a knife or baseball bat.

People are too damn emotional. As long as I can have mine I'm good.

Today folks feel assaulted if you speak loudly or use profanity. Btw that jack makes a dandy assault weapon. Range is a bit limited though. I should get one as nicely painted to keep in the house to greet unwanted guests.

I cringe when people claim that a .223 round is high power round and that even hunters do not use ammo of that high power for hunting...

latest

Now, which one is the real high power round?

.22 is nastier, because if one was to use it for home defense, and apply it to the skull of the intruder, it doesn't have the force needed to exit the cranium, thus making for scrambled brains. . . nearly always resulting in expiration. . . not sure if the LR variant acts the same. . .

Isn't the 223 by far the most plentiful round on earth?

~O~

It depends on which media source you listen to.

.223 is also the NATO 5.56, so that makes it very easy to find. I personally believe that shotgun ammo is easier to and more plentiful than any other ammo.

The .45 ACP will probably give them a run, Millions of rounds in Military surplus still. Always see surplus tin's of these at gun show's

Love that 45 ACP for a people gun, put's them down no matter how big, seldom get back up, & the round usually stay's in. 357 wheel gun with 38 special round's almost like shooting a 22, love that one too. :hihihi: 380 auto is a fun little pocket gun, :whistling: 22's still the cheapest, & still great for plinking. :headscratch: Can't think of any of my gun's i don't love, of at least like. :yahoo: :thank_you:
