Yet Another New Member

Hi to everyone. My name is Tim and I live just north of Seattle. I haven't had a bike for many years. My last bike was a new 1968 Honda CB-350 that served me well. I lived in California at the time so I could ride every day. When we moved to Seattle I didn't have a place to keep a bike out of the weather and there aren't that many riding days around here if you don't like the rain. I sold the bike and have been out of it since 1980. Now that I am retired and the kids are grown I have time to ride when ever the sun comes out and I have a garage. I am in the process of buying a GL-1000 from a friend that is in pretty nice shape. It has been in a garage on the center stand for about 10 years without being run so I will be doing some stuff before summer gets here to make it run like it used to. This forum looks like the answer to my prayers for getting information. My other hobbies include Ham radio and WW2 aircraft. When the bike gets here I'll start with the questions.

Welcome from Oz and great to hear that you are returning to riding. I stopped about the same time as you and returned almost 5 years ago and loving every minute spent riding :salute:

Another HAM, cool.

I've been thinking about getting back into that.
Stopped some 30 odd years ago. Would have to get a new license.
