My headlite on my 82 Goldwing Interstate on low beam only will intermittently flash on and off forcing me to run the high beam all the time. Any ideas as to what the cause and cure is for this situation?
There needs to be an alternate m/c design for these oldwings since there is no replacements made anymore just rebuild kits and its just like anything else...after a few rebuilds its eventually gonna have to be replaced for the bike to be usable and at least this gives another option to be able...
Shouldn't the 82 ( with unlinked brakes ) front brakes stop the bike easier and faster that the rears alone? In my search for front pads while getting them for the rears I found the front pads and rear pads are identical. So if true then the fronts should bring the oldwing down faster than just...
And their theory is if we make it simple we lose money. Not realizing that if they made it easily repairable that more people would be inclined to purchase.
On a brass adapter with male fittings on both ends....possible oreilly's and may have to add a male nipple to one end or lowe's has a pretty good selection of brass fittings. May not be the correct threads...not sure what they are on the oldwing.
On the line maybe a couple 90 degree brass adapters? And if the back hole was lined up couldn't the throw be shortened just a bit to compensate?
Then maybe as you said a piece of steel ...bolted to the frame and then drilled and bolted to the m/c keeping it lined up?
Is there enough clearance...
Dan that new m/c looks pretty sweet and I'll bet with a swap of the stock res...you'll have er go n in no time! I'm very interested in how you mount it so please keep the info coming!
