Winters not far around the corner and I thought it was time to dig out this years project and start preparing for the big freeze.
Yeah,I am bit early, but I thought I would at least get it up on the table for those tinkering moments.

Like the table idea - think I will copy it - what do you do winch it up there?

No winch, just an eight foot 2x10 and a friend or neighbor.
With two people it goes easy but its not a one person job.

Thanks for the complinants on the barn guys.I had to start over 20 months ago when we moved to a house my wife can get around in better.
The barn was there, but it was bare bones.
One of my customers is a demolition specialist and I have done very well aquiring second hand lumber, insulation and paneling. As well as a nice 100,000 btu hanging heater all for less than $200.00

WOW thats gotta be a job getting the bike up that high on a ramp - Be Carful !! I have an old lift (was made for smaller bikes) that i do not trust lifting with the Goldwings on it so I raised it up a bit (with skids) and I lift the bike with the tractor place it right on it (One man job) but one side of the shed is open and its a summer time thing only at this point. One year I will close it in.

Harbour Freight has got a manual hydraulic lift table that's pretty nice for around 400. bucks. I'm thinking about getting one soon. The older I get, the harder it is to get up off the floor. :smilie_happy: :smilie_happy:

Ya but with a 1,000 lb capacity I would be a bit concerned about lifting 80% of the load limit all the time

 What are you trying to say joe? It did come with an Indiana plate. :whistling:

Putting the bike on the table is a very simple process. Its only 2 feet high. With a 2x10 thats only 2.5 inchs/foot.Easy job for two people.

The table is very solid and sturdy, was built out of used 4x4s and 2x6s a $10.00 wheel chock and 2 $1.99 eye bolts. We have built a few of these between friends and they seem to be ideal.

My shop is the kitchen, my bed room is my spray booth the teardown and assembly space is the side walk in front of my apt. Living in the city has it's limits, but it also prevents MBS! :smilie_happy:

Tory, nice place..Is that you in front or behind on that cycle...Is that you're bike or someone elses...Looks like an old schwinn bicycle on the wall there...Is it?

Certainly is a great looking shop but lets get one thing straight WINTER IS NOT COMMING THIS YEAR - its going to be sunny and fair from now and right through to next summer (at least thats what the weatherman in Wainfleet tells me)

I think I can remember the last time the weatherman got it right he said "clear and sunny today".
Of course he was doing a remote broadcast outdoors at a rally. :good:

Niether of those two characters are me.Just a couple of buddys at one of our "Vintage Rice Burners" partys, they where anxious for me to get that on finished apparently.

Yes that is an older stingray hanging from the ceiling. My oldest son restored it 10 years ago and has out grown it for things with motors. So it get an honorable place to hang.

We've got a saying here in New England' "If ya don't like the weather, wait ten minutes it'll change!
I'm a little leary of what we're in for this year. I'm afraid we might make up for what we didn't get last year. Hope not!
Remember, SNOW IS A FOUR LETTER WORD! :Awe:
