    Bike won’t stay running!!

Update. Small pieces of rust made its way into the carb. The fuel pump is suspect of this. Will clean tank , change fuel filters and such. I did put a different single carb on it , bypassed the tank and used a new fuel pump. Bike runs really well now.

    Bike won’t stay running!!

I’ve restored many goldwings to a single carb and this one has me stumped! Bike will only stay running if I give it gas to about 1400 rpm, once I release gas... she dies. I’ve adjusted the idle and air/ fuel mixture screws and no luck. Last thing to check will be spark. Fuel pump is new and she...

Geesh!!! Speed sensor - to digital speedo. 1986 gl1200 aspencade. You find one and it’s gonna cost you. One on eBay for $450. People should be ashamed of themselves for charging so much but ..... oh well! If I had an extra one , I would only sell for $29.95 yes ?

Can you identify this chrome piece?

So I’m almost done restoring this 1987 gl1200 aspencade which has an incredible amount of chrome aftermarket pieces ....enough to build a separate bike 😀 Anyway, I can’t seem to figure out where this piece goes. There are two of them so I’m thinking one on each side? Can you help? Thanks

Well .... here she is in all her glory. Have just a few things left but mostly complete. This was a full dressed aspencade left outside rotting for 10 years. She runs amazingly fast... single carb.

Geesh! I hate electrics and I’ve had help here before wiring an aftermarket headlight and switch but this time , no power to headlight. I’ve removed the fairing and the little subharness wiring connector from fairing to bike. I connected all the wires in little box that sits behind headlight/...
