    BaggerShield on the 1500

Yeah, it's a BaggerShield (the sticker on the front says so!) It has a clear portion that resides behind the smoked glass (you can barely see it in the pic). If I need to block some wind/rain, I undo 3 wing nuts, flip the clear portion up, and wingnut it back on...

    BaggerShield on the 1500

Just finished putting the BaggerShield on my bike today. Took it for a ride, and I swear to gawd, there's at least 27 more horsepower at the rear wheel! (well, at least it feels like it when my hair's blowing in the wind)

It's called "winter projectitis"... I'd run through the carbs this winter. That's my plan with my new 1500...tune up too.

    missing crankcase drainage tube...

My wife (who is my personal Goldwing backrest...interchangeable between Goldwing models 1975-2014) noticed something hanging out of the bottom of mine while it was parked one day. She asked me if something was falling off the bike. I looked, and could tell that it was some sort of drain tube. If...

Havent changed a tire since the old "tube" days..How hard?

I break the bead on my tires using this method: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNrhMUPxI3o Also, I invested in a couple of regular car tire irons from Harbor Freight. It seems I always need to use more than two of them to get the tires off/on the rim. Two of the regular tire irons, and two...

What did you do to your Wing today ?

Took it and the backrest on a mini tour through semi-northern Indiana. Back south to Carmel, and watched 8 million ways to die in the west. Hopped on the bike, rode through some springles, then back to the garage. Only 180 miles, but nice weather. Stopped at a farmer's market north of Westfield...

Does a 1996 Interstate have reverse?

I have reverse on my 89, but it's like a novelty. People ask to see it, and I show it to them. It came in handy 1 time when I had to back up a hill, because there was a puddle of water at the bottom, and scooter biatch did not want to get her betty boop boots wet....

Does a 1996 Interstate have reverse?

See if there's a black lever on the left side of the bike, just below the tank trim. If it's there, start the bike, pull the lever out, then up. If it moves all the way to the top, press the starter button. if the bike moves backwards, you have reverse. If The bike sprouts four rockets and...

    1500 advertised- no reverse?

I remember doing my carbs on the 1100 a couple of years ago. I saw Randaak's kit, and thought I could part it out cheaper, but I didn't. I still had by the parts that were in Randaaks kit to be complete. Just buy Randaaks kit, and have everything you need, plus great customer service. Those 4...
