That peas me off when there are good deals on parts like that and they say, Won't ship to Canada.

Or Australia :Awe:

This pump arrived and I checked it out.
Of course I had to open the back cap to see how it works

A couple things worth noting about it if you get one.
The fuel line barbs are a tight fit even with 1/4" hose so the stock smaller hose may not fit or could tear when installing.
Good idea to get new 1/4" fuel hose.
The pressure is dead on 2 lbs. I think stock spec is 2.5-3 lbs.
The OEM 1200 pump I have is 2.5 lbs.
I don't think this lower pressure would be a problem but I thought it worth mentioning.

There is a plastic nipple coming out of the plastic cover.
I don't know what it's purpose is because it's not open to the inside of the cover:

With the rubber sleeve and the clamp installed:

Installed on motor:

It's all a decent fit and design for under $30.
If it lasts it's an awesome deal.

Stay far far away from this pump!!
Deal was too good to be true!

It started leaking like crazy at the case seal.

I'm concidering trying clamping those tabs tighter but hey, it didn't leak at first, hasn't been dropped or any other reason to start leaking so I don't trust it.

Hello Dan,

How long did it last before leaking?
I ended up buying this exact same pump (I remember this thread but didn't read all the way to your bad experience.. duh..) :head bang:
The seller is nagging me to give him a positive feedback LOL.
I just hook it up to my son's Z50R :hihihi: and tested it for a few minutes. No leak so far.
Just wondering how long is good enough.

Gee lasted barely 2-1/2 months.
In this time it's mostly been sitting not riding while I work on other stuff on the bike.

Maybe it's the gas, ate the rubber?
I don't know and haven't torn it open yet but it starting pissing gas bad.

Might be bad design or simply just a poor choice of seal material by the manufacturer. I hope they get it sorted out and fixed.

I sent the seller a message this is a major safety concern and shouldn't be sold any longer until the problem is corrected.
I also requested a refund and said I'll send it back to them if they forward me shipping costs.

I am sorry for the leaking issue. It must be on exception.
Can you show me one picture for leaking? Then we will refund for you once we confirm it.

I'll do better with a video

Seems to be a good seller..
He sold 119 of them. I wonder how many people reported the problem..
I hope it's an exception as he says but probably I will never know (assuming that over-heating didn't damage my Prelude OEM pump).

Buy it, have it shipped to me and I'll ship it to you. Probably defeats the savings then though...
