1982 Goldwing ratbike

Well folks, my wing is coming along,,fixin the last of the bugs, I have a question...im hearing a knockin sound in the bottom end, if i recal, most of my wings had the same knock, but when in a higher idel..like 2 3grand, it seems to quiet down...any ideas?? she Idels like a clock, tho when i give her gas,, it hesitates? could valves bein outof gap cause this??

Sounds to me more like a fuel issue. I'd check over the carbs.

Definitely look at carbs or carb sync first, they will seem to idle smooth even with a cylinder weakt or out of sync.
