Hi, I'm Bill and I am working on my friend's bike 1984 GL1200 and I am unable to find new gaskets for both front timing covers as I am replacing cylinder head gasket on right side.
Is there aftermarket replacement or is it possible GL1100 may fit on GL1200???

Let me know where I can find it?
Thank you :thanks:

hmmm 1200 are slightly longer ..if you have a 1100 one to try it...... id say it works ... i have never bought new ones .. but ive never had one that couldnt be reused ... its basically not a gasket that the motor needs to keep from leaking ...

They are ridiculously expensive to buy new, I see the 1100 for 45 or so dollars and thought if and when I need a pair I would try checking an automotive rubber supplier first, some kind of square C edging might work.

I bought a gasket set for my 1200, $130ish.
It included non Honda head gaskets but combined buying all of them separate the kit was cheaper and I'm fine with the head gaskets, they look good.
I'm at work right now so cannot link to the kit I got, maybe one of the other guys knows.
The country it came from surprised me, I remember that much :smilie_happy:

Thanks for info. yeah nothing is available for front timing cover gaskets.
Oh yeah good idea I will start look for like [ rubber seal somewhere.
it only just need to keep from wet, dust, debris out of inside timing cover.

Thanks :thanks:
