2010 Interstate? I think I just threw up a little in my mouth.

I don't dislike the twins. My KZ750 inline twin sounds great. Runs strong and has a huge amount of torque. My V twins are both 700cc tariff busters. A Virago and a Vulcan both of which have been very nice rides. Very smooth runners and relatively comfortable. I've never ridden a Harley or Victory so cannot really say anything good or bad about either. There are a lot around here and I really don't see the appeal for either that so many seem to crave. I've no desire for a new bike of any kind. I'm allergic to payments and cannot justify a vehicle that costs more than my home.

Amen brother!

We have 6 months left on my service van and almost a year on our Suburban.
Once those are paid off I don't think I'll ever get into a vehicle I can't pay cash for just like I did with my 1100!

After putting 3000 miles on my Victory Classic Cruiser, I love the difference between it and my Goldwing. The Vic has way, way more power than the Goldwing, which makes me grin when I ride it. It's easier for me to get on, and off when hopping around town....

...but when it was time for us to ride the SaddleSore 1000, I asked the backrest which bike did she want to ride it on. She said, "The Old Lady of course." :salute:

/// Hanging around on the Victory forums, I found they talk alot about the Harley flavor-aid drinkers as well.

I would make an exception for a Victory(the big space ship dresser).

~O~

I've heard nothing but good things about those...but then again, if I just dropped 20 grand on a bike, I better tell myself it's the best thing since that date with the homecoming queen where I got to third base...

I rode my Goldwing up to Johnson City today and talked a while with the owner of the Local Honda / Suzuki dealership....... I have known him for many years. he said , that names like Interstate and all that are only good for 20 years , and if the Company don't Use Them, they Loose them...... thats why they used to the 3 Old Honda Names on the new V Twin Bikes.

Except they have used the intersate name frequently.Just in recent years with the valkerie interstate,so that 20 years aint up yet.

Intersate has always been a package, not a bike. And has been used on other models besides the wing. These new bikes are nothing differant to me.

I have recently drooled over the new Victory Cross Country (not that I am ready for a new ride) and I am impressed.

I'm sure your right......... the dealer was talkin' about the Oddesey , years ago it was a Big Go Cart , with a motor cycle motor on it , and now........it's a Van, or SUV or whatever..........LOL

:hi: Well i am sure now, that this old 80 wing will see a lot more years no matter what it takes and no matter how many salvaged parts....Kinda like todays movies as far as I am concerned ... the new stuff can go to the junk yard and I will still have a garage full of sweet looking machines.... :smilie_happy: :smilie_happy: :music2: :music2: :clapping: :clapping:

i was looking at a shadow 750 a few years agobut decided against getting one. the seating position is too confining, i didn't want my feet stuck in front of me all the time, the bike felt too small, lacking power, doesn't hold enough gas, and lets not talk about the handlebars. at 52hp the 1300 honda vtwins just offer more vtwin vibration. i have a pinched nerve so my bike has to have almost no vibration so that don't leave many 2 cylinder bikes

OK, technically it's an "L" twin, but close enough to be the only v-twin I'd consider
