'82 1100 made clacking noise then shut off

I'll tear into the motor further this weekend. If I can find the damage part(s) and feel fairly safe that I cleaned out the broken teeth, I'll throw this one back it.

Just now getting back to it. I can't pull the clutch off because the nut and shaft just spin. I'll be making a socket out of a 24mm socket and putting the springs back on (to hold the clutch still) and see if I can get the nut off.

It's getting too close to riding time and I'm going through withdrawal....lol

I'll be wrestling with it this weekend, then I'll be headed back to Louisiana

I'm not worrying about getting it running this weekend, I just want to find out what's wrong with it so I can order whatever parts that I may need.......

ok, I modified a 24 mm socket and put the springs back on and tightened them down.
I got the clutch socket off, but its too dark to finish. I'll be back at it tomorrow...
