there's a big patch of weeds and small tree's on my way to the coffee shop where the local laws like to park behind facing oncoming traffic and run their radar guns. I stopped up there today with some roundup in my sprayer and sprayed the crap out of that stuff.. now they will be able to see on coming traffic more clearly.. always nice to help out once in a while. :good:

well I think he did right there. Out here they would fine you for allowing weeds to grow instead of cultivating and watering grass. Something about it creating a nuisance. I see nothing wrong with helping the county protect themselves from this travesty. After all paying the fines would be out of your pocket too.

Out here, the law does not allow them to "hide"....any radar/speed enforcement vehicles must be in plain view. No hiding behind signs, trees, etc. They are creative, tho.....they have managed to find ways to hide in plain sight.... :whistling:
That's what the Escort 8500 is for.

I'll add this to the discussion.....one of the sneaky things they do around here is set up on an overpass and shoot radar as you drive under them. Then, about 1/2 mile or so down the road is another officer(or 5) that will pull ya over if the first one nailed ya. Sneaky bastiges! We have become accustomed to looking up on the overpasses long before we get to them to see if there is a car parked on it... :moped:

They are sneaker here too boy.
They'll back into residential driveways on the big main streets and shoot radar.
Clever too because the cars are mostly black and they'll pick a heavily shaded driveway with a hedge so they blend in.

Around here they have to be in plain view with the car lights on. Hiding in folks driveways here can get dangerous.

Today had to go to courthouse for jury duty.. on the way there saw a moto cop on the other side.. no sweat.. on way home...(not chosen).. passed semi unmarked (no lights but side graphics) sheriff's pick up sitting in the median... going on down about 5 miles and oncoming vehicle flicked lights.. so watched.speed and 2 miles further there was one up the hill in some trees... gotcha po po... started to speed up mile and half later.. another one! no special invitations from any of them.. sneaky bubble gum units..
