i guess i discovered that what hit here the other day was a tornado ....im lucky the national weather service said three tornados touched down ...the one that effected me came off the lake and hit banked incline as i watch it just a minute after getting off the chat line knocked down several trees and the power pole in front of my place about a 100yrds from the lake and hop the tornado right over my place ....its now raining and they say its going to rain for days ...this is going to cause massive flooding ...this wont effect me...im up but its going to flood the towns around here big time i just hope to keep my power and not loose it....this is some crazy weather .....i sure hope there wrong on the rain they have predicted ....it will wash the roads out around me locking me in im sure ....ihope everyone else is in better conditions than me .....my rainguage says 21/2" since last night at about 12 mid night and it raining harder now than last night....my wife just left again to go somewhere else for a few days along with the kids so im alone again out here for awhile ...ive lost a freezer full of food already from the power outage but others have lost a whole lot more....all in all it could have already been so bad for all of us out here as tornados go ....ahhh the the rain is slacking for the moment..... :heat: :help: :doh: :builder: :shock: :hihihi: :ahem: :cheeky: :mrgreen:

Weather has been pretty fickle so far this year. Forecast here is mostly rain for the next 5 days. I don't have a rain guage but it was pouring last night and there are flood watches in effect here too. I too am on higher ground thankfully. I hope summer is just as slow to depart as winter has been.

you know a rain guage can just fill up and run over after awhile im glad the rain slowed down in intensity tho ...im still able to get out ....if i had some steel belted cloths i think id just jump in the creek and see how fast i could get the lake ....probably about 3 seconds at about fifty mph ...if i was younger id be the first in ....i might try a kyack even now ....nah i better stay in the house :mrgreen:

The storms/tornaders finally left here, and moved on east...into Allybama and Mississippi...they got hit danged hard, too, from what I've seen on the telly. What the heck is goin on with this weather? Dadgum Al Gore... :rant:

Hope all our buds in Ally and Missy(and the other states that got some) are ok. :beg:

Windy enough here it blew the power out again today. So much damage and loss with these tornadoes. Thousands today are hunting for the remains of their possessions and here I sit among people who deem it imperative the grass get cut. Lawnmowers running all over. oh2: :rant:

lastnight was rough here......it bearly missed us , 5 miles North of us , leveled everything for miles , Barns , Houses , Trees , ...and 7 miles South of us , took out a whole Community , ( Graystone ) and killed at least 9 people as of this evening , they are still looking for bodys. but...it could always be worse ..

I feel sick from it all...so much loss. I mean WTF!?! People are supposed to be safe at home. Every time I think about it or see news coverage I go from sad to angry, and quite frankly I wish I didn't care about it, but I do.

Had high winds this morning around 5:00AM till late morning, knocked the power out @ work around 6:50AM (I get off @ 7:00 damn it) but nothing serious

News said over 130 tornaders in the Mid State area(Ally/Georgia/Tenn etc). Possibly the worst breakout in over 40 years...not good.
We were fairly lucky around here, I suppose...didn't hear of any fatalities with the ones we had.
