Hi Dan,

Would it be possible to get switch working for Android tablets? Same as with the iPad the standard browser looked fine on my 10" Asus Transformer. Now I only get the mobile browser.
Thanks

I don't know enough about all the wireless devices to know what would be a phone and what is a tablet.
Are all androids a tablet ?

Can you switch your android to desktop view?

Andriod devices can either be phones or tablets. There are lots of each. Just like Apple where there are iPhones and iPads. Different devices but running a similar OS. I haven't been able to find the option to switch to desktop view but I'l keep trying. Is it possible that there is a switch that is based on screen size?

Android is just an open source operating system similar to Linux. I have found that there are many apps that allow Android devices to work in a IE type of environment. I have a CRUZ reader (similar to a Nook or a Kindle electronic book readers) that uses Android OS. Like an iPad, it can surf, play movies, music and is a reader. It has a wireless adapter built in that allows it to connect to the internet. When I get home, I'll see what is needed to log in on the site!

That would help loads Gerry since I just found out my sons phone is an Android.

I really like the mobile browser on mine I'd imagine others might also on the smaller phone screen so if there's a way to separate the phone from the larger screen devices that'd be cool.

I'm all ears for ideas.

I did find a couple links for the Android to "switch".
There is also a different browser choice called Dolphin which has an option to switch.
Here's a short discussion about it.

The browser that I use with my tablet is Opera. In the advanced settings I found agent settings. The two options are tablet or desktop. Switching this setting to desktop resulted in me getting the desktop view back. I also have an Android phone which is properly displaying the site in cell phone view automatically, so both are working fine. Nice to have the option.

I was able to get on the site from the CRUZ reader (Android OS) with no problems.......EXCEPT....everything is so small I keep clicking on the wrong items!!!!! Increased the size of the screen and used a pointer, but same thing. I think I will keep using my BIG OLE PC!!! :smilie_happy:

I'll try again later, but my blackberry didn't like it. wasn't centered. Off the left side of the screen.

Not bad! But I get prompted to log in every time I try to switch forums or make a post! It took 3 tries and 2 times logging in to post this. I never logged off. The time stamp was off as well. Pretty cool though!

Try a different browser, mine does weird things with I.E or there may be some settings to change.
For the correct time you have to set that in you profile settings, all of the templates use the same time.
