I add the ATF just before adding the gas. I then fill the gas tank to the bottom of the filler neck. That way, I know my liquid level was always started in the same place regardless of how much ATF is added.[url=https://www.classicgoldwings.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=101866#p101866:2vh2b3r8 said:D82 » Thu Oct 31, 2013 3:12 pm[/url]":2vh2b3r8]
How do you calculate miles per gallon when you add 8 ounces of ATF?
Gas only or gas + ATF?
Is the better mpg due to more liquid?
I then ride until the reserve needs to be opened and head for a gas station. Top off and check the miles ridden on the trip odometer from the last fill up (I zero the odometer at every fill up just in case the gas gauge fails. I know I can always go 150 miles before running low.)
