I tried seafoam once, maybe I used it incorrectly. It did nothing. I've been using B-12 for many years, around 20. For outboard engines, it's effective and harmless, I've used it on pretty new suzuki's and ancient seagulls, it just works. Its all I've ever used on motorcycles, same result, it works. I never tried the yamaha stuff randakk talks about.

for me, B-12 is an excellent tool, much like the morgan carb tune synchronizer.

I've never had any complaint against B-12, have used it also.

I never saw any improvement using any fuel additive, even Seafoam.
I take good care of my stuff like rebuilding the carbs before needing anything anyway.

I've seen an improvement in performance and mpg running ATF in the fuel though.

6 to 8 oz theres no law here ....your bike smoke a bit at first for awhile till it gets clean and at start up....there is no downside with it at all

Other than people look at you weird.

FWIW, if it ain't running right there's a reason. ......... feeding it a witch's brew or a magic pill ain't likely to address the problem permanently. Agree with Mark about the weird looks when it's puking smoke. But hey, to each his own. :moped:
