First time I had an accident ( two loose dogs crossing interstate) and went down (riding a cx500 standard 1978) i was wearing a donated full face ... it had 27 differnt direction scratch patches but my face had none.. I rolled about 200 ft.. actually hit both dogs one in the rer and one in the head,, 11pm going into work.. I have since then only used full face and last 2 have been modular... I also got a joe rocket mesh armoured goldwing jacket to wear in the TX heat 20 months ago.. rode to Colorado Springs this past June.. way better then leather in comfort but still hot!! my wife wore no jacket and nearly suffered heat stroke on the same ride (backrest)... +1 on the full face coverage..

$500? Wow, thats a total slap in the face. Let the lawyers duke it out I say.
Thats even worse then the $1200 I was offered when some drunk (wasn't proven, lucky for him) wiped out my Celica-Supra (first Supra's were a class of Celicas). I just had to mention seeing a Lawyer and the Adjuster went to $6500 in his next sentence, which I agreed to (I was young and STUPID).

Ok,

Rear ended at 18= 23k me, 15k passenger.

left turner into me on dirt bike at 15= 15k

a kid bumped my wife a couple months ago, ins company sent us a check for $550, $300 less than our preferred shop estimate.
Sure I could fight it and get more but not worth it to me in time and effort any more and ins companies are much tighter than they used to be.

I was hoping that you could keep us posted on what happens next..

I'll will do that, I'm letting the attorney deal with the insurance company and that is probably going to take some time. In the mean time I'm back to work, bike is back together and has been for a while. I feel lucky because it could have been much worse.
