brake light

my brake light doesnt come on when i apply the front brake on my 83 aspencade does anyone know where i should start looking?

The switch is right under the master cylinder, with 2 wires attached to it. If you short those wires together, your brake light should come on - with the power on, of course. There is 1 screw holding the switch in place, so an easy fix.
