I got the head off :yahoo: with a little prying and tapping with my rubber mallet :builder: . The intake valves do not sit flush like the exhaust do. Also if you look though the intake port of #1 you can see a thin crack of light shinning through it. #2 does not show this. Now its apart, whats next and what parts do I need :?:

next would be to remove the valves... depress the STRONG springs and there will be 2 half pieces on each valve end these are the keepers.. use a magnet to grab them and then all the springs and spring caps will slide off and the valves will come out of the heads... the at the end of a table or a 4x4 gently roll the stems ( with valve head off in the "air") along the table/board and watch the heads and see if they wobble in and out .. this would indicate bent stem/head connections and require new valves..

OK, I got my old girl back up and running. A friend helped me put it back together last weekend. I ordered the Goldwing recitifier kit from roadstercycle.com this morning. I'm waiting to install the rectifier before I install the false tank with compressor controls. I haven't taken a ride yet, but she's running sweet.
