In a couple hours I'm going to get a full bike cover for Crystal. The half cover I have(came with the bike) doesn't provide full protection from the sun, and there is no covered parking where I work. The places I have access to are AutoZone, Walmart, Pep Boys, Harbor freight and O'Rielly's. I'm not going online for this purchase because I want to "see" the cover before I buy.

Anybody buy one from one of these places?

Got it...I've never seen one this thick(4 layers) for only $50. It's clear this cover is going to be a commitment though, it's heavy. I do not look forward to donning and doffing this cover throughout the summer months at work, but it will provide the UV protection I want to preserve my like new paint as there is some kind of German bla bla bla UV balancing material incorporated into the fabric. The tips of the exhaust do come into contact with the cover so I'll see how that works out. :/

I'm on my 3rd/4th one from Pep Boys, same as the one you linked to. Excellent protection from rain, as long as it don't just come a turd floater. Mine have all developed tears from wear, except in one case where some dummass at the shop hit the bike with a van....put a couple of big rips in it. The ones I been getting are black, but the color doesn't last long in the Texas sun in the summer. One side is faded to light grey, the other side is still black! :smilie_happy:

I got a Paul Jr design cover by Coleman.. feels like canvas thick and waterproof.. Ice proof too

The one I got from Pep Boys is a XLarge and has room to spare on my 1500. The tailpipes touching the cover after a ride is not a problem. :good: The thing barely fits in the sidebag though.

Okay, later today I'll put it on and takes some pics. One thing I like about the heavy weight material is this winter I know Crystal will have superior protection on those below 32* nights/days.

I'm not saying it is but as many times as I've seen that first picture, it still looks like a artists sketch.
Does it look like that to anyone else?

It IS an artist's sketch.....Mother Nature was the artist.... :hihihi:

I don't know about a sketch but it definitely looks too cool for my blood
