Crested Butte, Colorado

Has anyone ridden in the Crested Butte, Colorado area? Will be trailering my bike this weekend from Texas and will be staying there through August 6th. This will be my first ride in Colorado and the first decent ride after my bike sat in the garage for 5 years. Any information or suggestions would be appreciated.

well im assuming its running alright ...one in a full tank of gas id mix 6to8 oz ATF in the gas ...i would take brake fluid with you and 9/16 wrench in case you need to releave the pressure on stuck brake or somthing like that ....id go safely and not push any corners ...watch the gauges ...if anything seems foul to the ears stop ....just be aware ...id say if you can go with a buddy like your wife in chase ride as to to be fully taken care of ...if traveling bike it in front of car if your in good standing :smilie_happy: :mrgreen: good luck

Should have posted more information. The carbs, front and rear calipers, brake lines, brake pads, timing belts have been replaced or rebuilt. Everything seems to be working as it should. Trip came up last minute and I hate to pass on the opportunity to ride in Colorado.

Sounds like its ready to roll and if anything went wrong, you already got your tow vehicle since your trailering there. Win/win situation. I'd go for it !!!! We like pictures so take a camera. Enjoy.
