Good reactions Dan. :good:
Looks like everyday driving down here as well, I believe my white helmet seems to cause drivers to not pull out in front of me as much as my silver one.

To be seen ist essential but even then there are people don't think or realise what they see and put others in dangerous situations. Some days more than others. You have to think and react for all these drivers if you want to stay on your bike. It doesn't help to try to show them anything. They won't understand you. Good reactions! That's the way.

Good reactions! The title you could have left out 'L.A.' as they are everywhere
Best practice, ride like you are invisible (you are) :eek:k:
Other solution involves heavy armament, but I don't think it'd last very long

the shield on that bike is just like mine ...i really like the small shields and full face helmet combo...all the protection you need and nothing you dont need ...
That shield is actually 3" taller than stock. I went with it hoping to reduce wind blast but not much improvement. On a KLR you sit taller and being tall myself it's just something I'll have to put up with.

Same drivers around here! (Or should I say same driver attitudes or lack of situational awareness.)

That is one of the main reasons I have a Stebil Nautilus horn. They hear it long before pulling out in front of me or drifting over.

Me too, I'm to busy flipping them the bird, cussing and shaking my fist at them, for some reason i never think about the horn button until 2 miles down the highway. :whistling: :hihihi:

They are bad, everywhere! They pull out in front of trucks, buses, and even trains...a bike certainly won't be noticed! Simply mindless driving. And, of course, they're completely innocent when they cause a wreck.
