Ahhhh...cain'tcha jest feel da lurv? :hihihi:
I could certainly stand to loose a pound er two...er 30, O-man, but...slow down? NEVAH!!! :smilie_happy: The speed limits here are really more of a suggestion than law. Drivin at/below the posted limits will get ya runded over quickly. :whistling: My 40 mile one way ride to/frum werk is ALL hiway miles, except for the short spells of traffic jams at times, which means I'm runnin an average of 60mph for those 40 miles. I don't carry any more weight on the 'Wing than I have to, but in the cold times, I have to have my leathers and stuff, which adds up quickly. Summertime, I'm bare bones in the weight department.
That being said, i have come to accept that the rear tire on this thing is just not goin to last like a car tire....I've seen too many other bike guys that have similar mileage results, on different bikes, and different tires. I can't really fault the tires if I pick up a screw or something on the road, either. I HAVE had at least two new tires that were defective from the git-go....one with a crack in the tread surface, and one that had a bald spot within 1000 miles, and I never lock the rear tire up.
One a happier note.... :hihihi: The new tire WAS here when I got home this evening, but there was no indication of where it actually came from....just a shipping label from Bike Bandit in Callyfornya. I'll be mounting it this weekend.
