You do still want to plug that hole because it will still be pulling a vacuum through the float chamber. Going over bumps etc might pull a little gas in and mess with your af ratio.

removing the the diaphragm and pluging the space inside ,,, and screwing the cover back on plugs everything ... even the gas feed to carb barrel ..is how mine is done

on the pin side of things you can see that gas flows right there on this side of the diaphragm....and in the carb body down low and below pin is gas feed to carb barrel

that stick expoxy stuff ...is great as it is clay like and is easy to use .. and can be overfilled to a degree and cap is last clamping thing to really push it in good ...to seal it up .....

In fiddling with the carb, i left the uni-link loose. 30 mile trailer ride....stuff shakes apart....now we are here.

So....you can see on the pic that is what the linkage looks like now. What parts do i need to put this back together? I think its just a simple bushing to line up the secondary A shaped link. I found a part exploded diagram of the dft, and it appears this bushing

is not a replaceable item (maybe). Anyone got any spare parts for this carb?
