Hello GoldWing Forum members - have ridden since about 1963 (yes! not a typo!!) First ride (bought with proceeds from my paper route) was Royal Enfield 200/250cc? side shift on tank; progressed to Triumph 500 twin, then to BSA 500 single, BSA 650 twin, then to Harley sportster CH 900cc then after marriage and couple of children took a breather. Always noted from inside my car or half ton, the happy looks on heavy rides coming my way. Took the plunge a couple years back here in Alberta, Cda and bought a 2004 Honda VTX1300c. Very nice ride and fortunately for me, built quite close to the ground. Can sit with both feet touching! Have recently looked at an old GoldWing (1977 Jammer 111) and might be making space in my garage. If all goes well couple of pix of VTX will attach. Cheers!

Hello Duster - Tks very much. As mentioned, one bonus point for me, about this one ......
boots are almost full flat on the ground at stop signs! Haven't made much time for rides this
season as here in near northern Alberta heat makes for more garden watering and drought means carrying
many buckets of well water. Just enough for only a couple of splashes on each plant - always want to leave some in the
bucket for the others. Almost like that old time "Desert Pete ? " song!

You've only got me beat by a year for riding, but I didn't own a bike until 1975, when I bought a 1972 CL 175. I 1964 I had a friend who bought a 160 Dream. It had all the power of a good size lawn mower, but I got to use it more than he did, and it was fun. Next bike I rode was a BMW R60. I only got to use that for a few short rides before the owner sold it. After the 175 I picked up a 1969 CB 750, which I rode about 30,000 miles before I wrecked (then rebuilt), to ride another 20K. Now it's my OldWing, and I'm lovin' it.

Tkx Mike, Steve, Winger - pleased to meet. Am still thinking about that '77 GL1000 Windjammer lll Wondering whether there is any reverse kit that could be adapted to fit it. Noticed mention of BMW? proposed retro fit unit but nothing further Sure would be handy to add on when doing rebuild for the '77 Couple weeks back had to get wife to help push a bit in order to move my VTX around on gravel incline.
