I have a 1979 Honda Goldwing gl1000 and all the lights come on but the blinkers wont work and the head light is completely dim...any ideas?

grounds are loose probably more stuff too maybe time for connector clean up...its all pretty old now
+1 on corroded connnections and loose/dirty grounds. They're 34 years old. Also, check your battery and charging voltage.
I'll jump in with the same thing, but will add that you could connect a jumper wire from the headlight socket ground terminal directly to a solid chassis ground.
If the light gets brighter, you know you have a poor ground.
If you jumper a POSITIVE lead from your battery to the headlight and that fixes it, you know its a feed issue. (kinda just cutting your search in half is all i am sayin...but it could still be the light switch or an actual wire).
Almost always easier fixing an oil leak because you can see it, right?
