Is it possible that this noise is coming from the oil pump drive?

Thinking about noise in that area.....pull the lower coolant fitting off the front cover and check the water pump for play.
Possibly the impeller is rubbing the aluminum?

does the noise change if clutch is pulled? If so noise may originate from rear of motor maybe.
