will knocking out the baffels on my 83 gl1100 do any damage in the long run to the motor.I did this on my H D sportster and it worked well . :thanks:
 
I took the baffle ends out and then removed the packing. You can put the ends back in and it sounds good. Not much louder at all just a little throatier. I dont think that will make much difference on the back pressure. There is a rivet that holds them in, drill them out and then put a vice grip on the baffel and tap that with a hammer and they will come out. reverse the process if you want the ends back in there.
I have done this on quite a few Hondas and havent noticed any performance change for the better or worse. The cool thing is that if you do it right you can put it all back together since you can re install everything.
 
I cant afford a Rolls and wouldnt want one if I could. I didnt alter my Aspencade, I did alter the naked one. More sporty I guess. Oh,,,, and because I wanted to. :Egyptian:
