:Awe: ok still haven't had a chance to check the wp. but now i noticed that the feul pump is spitting gas out of the weep hole.i took it off back before i got her running and cleaned the gonk out and the diopram wasn't torn or anything so what would make it do that?
:headscratch:

Options are - buy new, buy used, replace with electric, replace with vacuum powered fuel pump, or modify and rebuild. Vacuum pumps are found in snow mobiles and jet skis and are available both new and used. Electric will need a tip over switch installed to assure the fuel pump stops in an accident. Whatever you choose output should not exceed two pounds pressure.

i'll let mine go for the same as mc's after all we are family on this side. the reason i have a fuel pump thought mine was bad and i bought one new seems the problem was something else, anyway let me know.

well for now the stupid cage has eaten most all my founds so new isn't an option at the moment. the tranny wasn't the right one and the next one is another 150. so my bike fund is almost down to zip

No need to be sorry! That is what we are all here for. I agree the '79 is more likely the better pump in your case!
