Final drive oil seal replacements gl1100

Has anyone ever replaced oil seals on gl1100 final drive just found a extensive leak can't find any info on it

I remember having one apart but don't remember if I replaced the seal or not. Final drives are plentiful, just replace it.

Yeah I could but I would rather just reseal what I have because everything you buy now days is just well used and seals are probably hard and brittle plus I really would rather keep the original unit because splines are already wore to one another

I did all the seals on "The Turd" twice. First time I dint know about the o-ring seal. The main, metal clad seal will leak, but there is also an o-ring on the rim that needs to be replaced. Replacing both fixed my leaks. I may have pics in my gallery......
