Why cain't those goobers put out software with ALL of the fixes in them, instead of releasing stuff with issues, and then fixing those issues later?
The newest update does NOT have a rich text editor...they knew that when they released it. "Rich Text Editor will be included on the next update"...... :rtfm: :help:

I tried Chrome a couple years ago, and dint really like it....no tool bars or AV protection, at the time. I may try that again. My puter at home hasn't been updated, but the pos here at the shop did it automatically over the weekend. I need to dig into it and try to roll it back to the last version.....

I like no tool bars, less clutter displayed and I can always hit the little drop down for the tool bars anyway.
AV could be a lot of what's causing problems in Firefox. Those do need to be updated.
I don't know, the least amount of junk running the faster it will be.
There isn't much need for virus protection if ya stay away from wares sites and others like it.
Keeping MS security updates current is important though. Those alone come along every couple weeks anyhow. I can't imagine how you can keep up on dialup.

When I get the notices, I sometimes have to pick and chose which ones to d-load at one time. Then, I have to just let the dang thing run for however long it takes. Sometimes, it's only a couple of MB....then other times, it's a couple of GB.....those are the ones that take all day on the weekends.
My AV programs update several times daily....I'm good on that front.
The current issue with FF is the rich text editor was left OFF the update. It renders some of my forum stuff useless...like smilies, fonts, and colors. It also changes the syntax of the posts if I need to edit anything. Just such a pain to have to manually do this stuff....I mean..what the heck am I paying Mozilla for if ......oh ....wait.....it's FREE! :smilie_happy:

And yes....we still have dial-up down on the farm.... :smilie_happy:

I've been using Fire Fox since it came out with little to no problems - up until last week when I loaded an old program that came with its own version of Adobe Acrobat (version 5) and it over-wrote some of the existing add-ons. Been having problems ever since couldn't see the video you listed about the miniature airport and about half the You Tube videos don't work now.
