Well I found a great looking chrome headlight trim for my wing but the fella sent it in a flimsy car stereo box with no internal support and sent parcel post it arrived cracked , box torn open and wrapped in plastic, some peanuts but most probably spilled out when the box opened somewhere allong the way.
I just sent the guy a message abut it and waiting for a response, Ebay advised me he has no return policy but I paid with pay pal, PP doesn't say I`m covered at least on the original listing, I thought PP covered all purchases?, Ebay has some kind of money back guarantee.Waiting to hear back from seller, I sent pictures in the Contact seller box, hope he gets them. I am just bummed it wasn't shipped properly, would have been a nice one.

The seller has 3 days to reply. If you're unhappy, file a case with Ebay. Nearly all purchases are covered by their money back guarantee. I've only had one problem, and it was finally worked out with the seller. Good luck with yours! It was definately received not as described!

+1 with Steve, I have had a few and they always worked out in the buyers favour. They will want to see that you have tried to sort it out and the seller appears unwilling to assist.

Very bad packaging. I got a windshield from a member here once, showed up broken, UPS said FU. The alternator I got the other day had incredible packing, it could have been dropped from a plane and survived.

Hope it works out.

My son and I have found that eBay and PayPal always side for the buyer first and it is up to the seller to document and defend himself.
Damaged in shipping can be a tough one to prove or disprove but bottom line is the seller wants to keep his good standing so he should refund the $.

Thanks guys, I guess I`ll wait ans see..Unfortunately no insurance and I doubt USPS would pay out with the way it was packed. The box is about as sturdy as an empty 12 pack carton..I would have thought 12-13(forget) dollars shipping would have bought a bigger heavy box with insurance, heck..Flat rate small box would have worked for around 8 bucks.

Try 1st to work with the seller. I've only had one seller too stupid to work with. Other than him sellers have always made it right. As for stupid- paypal refunded my money.

I agree that for that shipping cost, it should have at least been in a flat rate box! That box and weight could not have cost more than $5 or $6 dollars to ship Parcel Post USPS.
