Greetings Gentlemen,
I had my first problem on my 81 GL1100 this week and thought I would share it with others to help in their troubleshooting.
The PO had the water pump changed by his local Honda dealer and everything was fine until no horn, turn signals, or tail lights/brake lights. Found the 15A fuse blown, replaced it and it blew again, :head bang:

With a little help from my wife, bless her heart, we got out the fluke meter and found the dealership had pinched the wiring harness to the horns causing a dead short. Fixed that and with the help of this forum replaced the flasher relay and tail light bulbs, and now I have tail lights/brake lights, turn signals, and working horns! :yahoo:

It took a couple of hours and a trip to the auto parts store, but now I am on the road and legal again. Thanks guys

Greg

That's what we like to hear ( except the part about the dealer stuffing up!). Well done!! :good:
