You can bet your a$$ the rotor has not been turned, if you can find a shop that will turn any motorcycle rotor, you need to let us know about it!

From your pictures I can tell you this:- Your machine is an Aspencade (unless it's like mine of course) the serviceable width of the rotors is between 9mm and 10mm.

I do not know what the oblong black box is behind the fork leg?

your bike is an 83 .. they did all kinds of stuff on that yr be patient its looking like there is parts mixing going on here solid rotors had different set back than riveted ones and also revited vented rotors and brake set up ... something wrong here ... need a complete parts pic of all the pieces for bike and see if there any odd parts ...
