Has anyone ever ordered a texavana seat if so what do you think about it is it worth the money
No I'm waiting a texavina seat just was wondering about their qualityI have not had any experience with texavana, but I purchased a seat for an '82 Interstate from a company called TEXAVINA located in Vietnam. This was about 5 years ago and as best I remember the seat I ordered was about $250 including shipping, and received the seat in about 4 weeks. It was good quality and fit perfectly. Sold the bike without pictures. Good Luck.
Later, Bud...
BTY - I still have the take-off seat if you have a need. It is serviceable, but does have a small patch in the pillion area.
Do you think it's worth the money?I put one on the RD400c that I restored a few years ago. Needed a little shimming to fit properly, but rode well and looked great until a car pulled in front of me and the bike was totalled.
Depends on if you have a rust-free seat pan. If you do, recovering with an ebay cover is best, IMHO. The seat pan that came with the RD was seriously rusted out. I've done several GL1000 seats that way, and they were pretty eazy. Never tried an 1100.Do you think it's worth the money?
I absolutely hate the gl1100 seat terrible design you sit way to forward it wish the 1100 had a cigar seat similar to the gl1100Depends on if you have a rust-free seat pan. Hope so too I've been needing a good seat for a while the factory seat looked to be in great shape was uncomfortable because foam had lost its rebound and would compact making it miserable to rideIt's a good looking seat. Hope it works out.
