Fuel guage in the DIGITAL DISPLAY

Hello! I have a 1983 Aspencade with the DIGITAL DISPLAY. Yesterday the fuel gauge started acting weird. With the key off, the fuel side of the display stayed on and only one bar at the very top was showing. Can anyone tell me how to reset this, or fix it?
