I have no idea how to replace one, never done it before, but someone will get back to you on it that has.
well thanks for the come back.the reason i asked is cause i was not sure if the tank had to be removed.

A little tough getting to the back screw but possible. No you don't need to remove the tank. But you would have to remove the petcock to remove the tank.

I have seen rebuilt kits, too....just don't remember who had them. Cheapcycleparts has a new petcock for $35.... :mrgreen:
so sorry for not getting back,false alarm,it was not the petcock leaking,there was a small crack in the hose under the clamp.new hose new clamp and no more gas drip.thanks
