Hello everyone. Crazy info needed BUT...I have a cold case of beer for the first person who coughs up the stuff i seek.

We need vacuum readings for all the Goldwing models.

Information that would be useful are as follows:

pressure during a light load. Example would be cruising speed on flat ground in top gear. Speed limit or slightly above.
pressure under moderate load. Say full throttle, top gear (as if you were about to pass someone)
pressure under the highest load you'd normally encounter. Sidecars or trikes might be a good example. (loaded up with luggage in top gear climbing a very steep hill)

We will be running a GL1000 on the dyno next week and will record vacuum, but if you have an 1100, 1200, or 1500 we'd love your assistance :help:

I have a vacuum gauge hooked up to one cylinder which is then hooked in through a canister I made out of PVC to try an steady the pulses.
The needle still bounces pretty bad at idle and medium loads but smooths out at high revs.

I'm wondering if it will even work for what you need as hooked into one cylinder?

The reason I made the canister was for a vacuum cruise control I had on it which died.
I actually tapped vacuum fittings into 2 intake tubes then used check valves to combine the vacuum.
Worked great for that.

I made a set of carb sync gauges using standard vacuum meters. You typically get far too much bounce unless they are restricted but these already had been drilled and tapped with tiny "jets". I am going to use one of them to read vacuum while running on the dyno.

My recollection was Harbor Freight had them on sale for about $8 per, so i bought 4 and mounted them to a piece of scrap wood.
Redneck for sure but they are just as smooth as the set of $300 gauges we used at the store.

That's my "Wisconsin" hill billy tip of the day.
